Story tellers take a tale, twist it around,  and make a version for their special retelling.
Some of the stories in this anthology are based on the adventures of real pirates; others are the inventions of storytellers from long ago.in this book, I have drawn upon a wide range of stories and, in some cases, on historical records. These are the sources that suggested the stories to me.
